Ubuntu 11.10 'frozen' at satellite C640
Hi friends, a few months ago I have installed ubuntu-amd64 11.10 oeniric oncelot at satellite C640. which type of laptop is the AMD processor. I use the boot flash to install it and the condition of the laptop is connect to the internet with the lan network. No problem in the install this version of Ubuntu on the laptop. however, if the internet connection is disconnected a few seconds later the laptop to freeze (hang). this is the same as when booting or GDM login every few seconds the laptop also be frozen. I've search on the internet, visit ubuntu forums but no satisfactory answer. I kept trying over and over again, such as update ubuntu, network blacklist, finally after several failures can be concluded that the lan network which causes the laptop to be frozen.
If you are experiencing as above, I have a trick that does not resolve the problem but can make the laptop's not frozen. There are two ways:
